The average price for a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom is $767,322.
There are currently 49 homes in escrow.
The average price for a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom is $658,093, the average sq. ft. is 2,415 and the average market time is 74 days.

Rancho Bernardo is a beautifully master planned community offering an enticing mix of idyllic weather, championship golf courses, world class restaurants, businesses, residential areas, senior communities and more.
Not only does Rancho Bernardo have some of the best schools (Poway Unified School District) and it is also known for being one of California’s safest communities. It’s easy to see why Rancho Bernardo has become one of the most desirable spots in the country.
Housing development started in 1961 when The Daley’s who were cattle ranchers sold their land to WR Hawn and Harry L. Sommers who in turn established AVCO Development.
Rancho Bernardo is within the City of San Diego and is located approximately 25 minutes to the San Diego airport and 20 minutes to the beaches of Del Mar. It encompasses @7000acres and has a population of 45,000.

Bernardo Heights, a wonderful neighborhood in the San Diego City community of Rancho Bernardo
As we went for our early morning walk along Bernardo Heights Parkway Friday morning, Linda and I really started talking about what an exceptional place Bernardo Heights really is. Bernardo Heights offers so much to it’s residents…the Bernardo Heights Community Center, Paseo Lucido Park, swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, beautiful vistas…I could go on and on. Bernardo Heights was carefully designed and built in the 1980s and offers a number of uniquely different types of housing. There are apartments for rent as well as areas like the gated community of Fairway Pointe which offers custom built homes 2,500 to over 4,000 square feet. Condominium projects such as Mira La Paz, The Greens, Las Brisas, Las Floras, Masters Hill and Fairway Vistas offer homes with golf course views, one or two car garages, sparkling pools, and good neighbors. The gated area of Los Rios/The Village is an extraordinary area with a character of its own. Bernardo Heights is close to the newly renovated I-15 freeway and is twenty-five minutes from downtown San Diego and twenty minutes to the beach. Within a few minutes from the heart of Bernardo Heights one can find shopping areas, medical services, great restaurants, grocery stores, golf courses, and various recreational areas. And, of course, the weather is the best. But, nothing beats that early morning walk along the Parkway saying “Hi” to old friends, gazing at the beautiful vistas to the North and East and experiencing the hopeful sunrise of a new day.

Did You Know:
Ranch Bernardo has two zip codes…9217,92128. In the 92127 zip code there are 127 Single Family Homes for sale and 30 Attached Homes( such as townhomes and condos). In the last 6 months there have been 215 Single Family Homes that have sold wtih selling prices going from $360,000- $4,025,000. The Attached Homes have also done well with 134 being sold and selling prices going from $130,000- $514,900.
Did You Know:
In the 92128 zip code there are 105 single Family Homes for Sale and 61 Attached Homes . In the past 6 months there have been 235 Single FamilyHomes that have sold with prices going from $205,000-$1,500,000. The Attached Homes sold broke the 200 mark with 209 homes sold with selling prices going from $125,000-$500,000. Good job zip codes 92127 and 92128!

Rancho Bernardo has the “Best“ Bakery around. Just walk through the door of Edelweiss Bakery and one whiff will sent you into bakery bliss. Edelweiss Bakery opened in 1981 and is still owned by the Lawrie Family. Lynn and Matthew run the bakery and it is just a treat viewing all the apple cakes and apple strudles. The bakery has been voted “Best Bakery ” year after year by Rancho Magazine. You can find Edelweiss Bakery in the Westwood shopping Center or check out their web site at www.ourweddingcake.com.

The perfect place to walk or hike after visiting Edelweiss is the Rancho Bernardo Community Center. The Park has tennis courts, ball fields, basketball courts and hiking paths . Today I learned from several City Engineers that a walk/bike path connecting the Community Park with the new Pedestrian Bridge over Lake Hodges in in the works. I saw the plans myself and it will be perfect addition.
