The beautiful Autumn season is upon us and with it comes a time honored Fall tradition: Oktoberfest! This SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2008, Encinitas will host the 14th Annual Oktoberfest and Street Fair. There is no admission price for this one day event. It is open to anyone who enjoys the idea of an afternoon spent among crafts, food, music, dancing and (of course) beer.
Do any or all of these sound appealing to you? Well then make sure you mark your calendars. The event will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and will take place where Mountain Vista and El Camino Real meet. Just look for the banners. It will cover three blocks. Once there, you will find a Beer Garden, 10 food vendors, 150 vendors displaying crafts as well Bavarian bands and dancers.
This event will be a great opportunity to take part in the German heritage, spend time with family and friends, make some new friends and enjoy our wonderful community of Encinitas. I know I will be there! I hope to be able to meet some of you. I will be the one snapping away pics with my camera. Stay tuned for my follow up blog next week.
