The Trails is an upscale neighborhood of Rancho Bernardo located on the northern tip. Many homes have panoramic views of San Pasqual Valley. The lots are large (1 acre+) and landscaping is mature with trees, grassy lawns, fruit trees and palms. Some lots are zoned for horses. Most of the homes have pools which residents can enjoy year round in the near perfect climate. Prestigious custom homes range from approximately 3,000 sq.ft. to over 7,000 sq.ft. on along private streets. Some homes include guest casitas/cabanas and tennis courts. Pricing ranges from $1.0 million to $2 million+. Many homes were destroyed in the last San Diergo fires so new construction is evident throughout the neighborhood. Residents attend schools in the Poway Unified School District. Many lots are currently available for sale for people wishing to build a custom home.
