Escondido’s Dixon Lake is an economical way to enjoy a day or weekend with family and friends.
It was where we had Pop Warner picnics, family bike rides and fishing excursions on a warm and peaceful day. Dixon Lake was the last place I saw our pet duck, “Mr. Quack, Quack”, after we moved him to his new home. It is home to those who live in Escondido.
1700 North La Honda Drive Escondido, CA 92027 is 15 minutes to downtown Escondido. The 76 acres are surrounded by avocado trees and hills. Endless memories are available for our enjoyment 24 hours per day.
750 sq. ft. cabins are available at $30.00 per night.

Reservations can be made Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., by calling (760) 741-3328.
View fishing fees here. Children under 8 are FREE.
The lake fishing map can be found here. A 25 lb Bass was caught there in 2006 and was said to be a world record!
If you prefer a tent, camping below the clear beautiful skies can make things fun!
The shaded areas offer a place to read a book or throw the ball with your friends and family. Dixon Lake is a good old fashioned place to be.
