My San Diego STAYcation: Toby Keith Country Music Concert

In my blog post outlining the 5 NEW Things I plan to do on my San Diego STAY-cation I voiced my plans to attend a country music concert. The concert: Toby Keith & Trace Adkins at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater 2009.
I have been to a lot of concerts, but this was my very first country music concert. In fact, this was the first time I took initiative and arranged for friends to join me at a concert, ever! I am so glad I did.
I loved the entire night!
I was thrilled to be with good friends as Trace crooned the Honkey Tonk Ba Donk a Donk! Laughing and singing along, it was great.
Toby Keith was outstanding. He acknowledged our military and sent love to our country. Fireworks and all, it was a blast. It made me glad to be on this “America Ride”
STAYcations are tricky. Even in San Diego!
You have to choose activities and events that are new to you, and not just your guests. You have to step outside your comfort zone and allow new experiences into your life.
I still have several more visitors in queue to visit this summer, so I know my STAYcation is far from over. I will eat at new restaurants, visit new cities and reengage my senses.
