Community Service Day 2009 is a HUGE Success for Windermere AND San Diego

Windermere agents in more than 300 offices and 10 states took the day off to GIVE BACK to their communities for the 26th year in a row!
Windermere Exclusive Properties used the day to to host Dual Blood Drives and run a Food Drive Extravaganza.
While people frequently donate around the holiday season, local charities often run low on supplies during the summer months.
Agents in our seven San Diego offices made a big impact on local organizations by loading them up with the resources they need most.
TWO Blood Drives with the San Diego Blood Bank.
Blood Drive at the Windermere Forum:
The Blood Mobile set up at the Windermere Forum office collected more than 32 pints of blood.
They totaled 36 blood donors, a mix of agents, friends and walk-ups. They were also able to collect 2 bags of red blood cells!
Blood Drive at Windermere Rancho Bernardo:
30 agents signed up to donate blood including several of agent’s spouses, children and clients. They estimate 4 or 5 walk-ups. At the end of the day, they filled 37 appointment slots, far exceeding their goal of 20.
Representatives from the San Diego Blood Bank estimate that the donations collected will help more than 80 people!
A Massive Food Drive to Help TWO Charities:
San Diego Community Resource Center
“We all THANK YOU very much again for this incredible food donation. The Windermere group brought in enough food to provide nearly 100 local families with an emergency food box supplement for the month. This donation means so much as people continue to lose their jobs and struggle to make ends meet, ” – Community Resource Center
Rancho Bernardo and Escondido agents went out into the community and collected nearly 200 bags of food. “We had such positive results and it was such a pleasure doing it, we can’t wait for the next community service day!”
