Our day of giving back to the community is just around the corner. Have you started your Community Service day projects?
Blood Bank: Have you contacted your friends, family, clients and signed yourself up at the blood banks? There are two blood banks- one at the La Costa-Encinitas office, located at the Forum Shopping Center at 1905 Calle Barcelona behind the Bed, Bath & Beyond. The other is located at the Rancho Bernardo office at 16890 Bernardo Center Drive. To schedule an appointment, contact Julissa at the Forum office (760) 931-6111.
Or go to www.mysdbb.org to make an appointment at a mobile blood bank. Use the sponsor code WEXP to schedule a time at the Forum or sponsor code WINP to schedule a time for Rancho Bernardo. For more information contact Peter Dinell (760) 533-1796 or peterd@windermere.com or Lindagrubbs@lindagrubbs@windermere.com. If you can’t donate blood, bring donuts to the blood banks.
Food Drive: Have you picked up your paper bags, downloaded information that you can attach to your bags and given them to your clients, friends, sphere of influence, and farm? We have found that the bags have been well received and everyone has been most generous with their food donations. Please have your filled grocery bags ready for delivery before Friday the 19th. Bring your food bags to our blood bank centers so we can deliver them to the Community Resource Center in Encintas and the North County Interfaith Community Center in Escondido. We need volunteers at each blood center to help transport the pantry items.
What do I do on Friday June 19th?? Make sure all food and pantry items are brought to the blood bank centers. Escondido and Rancho Bernard will be meeting at the Rancho Bernardo Office and Catherine Thoreson is your coordinator. (858)592-9757 mail@catherinethoreson.com. The Carlsbad Village office, Carlsbad Village Faire, Carmel Valley office and the LaCosta- Encinitas office will be meeting at the La Costa- Encinitas office at the Forum. Your contacts are Linda Schechner (760) 415-7083 Lindacbr@aol.com and Jean Wilson at the Carmel Valley office (858) 945-0612 jeanwilson@windermere.com.
We are expecting all of you to spend the day helping with the blood drive and the distribution of the pantry items. You are the ones that make our community service day a success.
The blood bank hours are 10:00 A.M.- 3:00 P.M., and we are delivering our pantry items after 3:00.
What do I wear? Wear comfortable clothing, any shirts that you have from previous community service days and your name badge. If you do not have a shirt from previous service days any solid shirt will do.(Please no logos except the Windermere Logo.) Remember we are representing our company so please dress accordingly.
Remember we can’t help everyone. But everyone can help someone and make a difference in their life.
